I attended Utah Tech University, back then Dixie State College, from 2008 to 2012, where I worked on campus in the Ticket Office as a Crew Supervisor throughout my academic career. After earning my B.S. in Communications, I set off on a new adventure in Austin, Texas.
During my time in Texas, I gained experience in several different fields. I worked as a Deputy Court Clerk for a Municipal Court, later became a 911 Dispatcher for the AISD school system, and eventually worked as a Patient Transport Operator for a workers’ compensation clinic. While living in Austin, I also discovered a passion for boxing as a form of exercise — something I still enjoy today.
I later moved to another part of Texas to work as a Data Entry Clerk in the cardiology department at Clinics of North Texas. The long hours and demanding workload left little room for life outside of work, until a close friend in St. George encouraged me to move back to Utah and join her at Rescue Alert in another dispatching role. I took the leap and returned home.
Being back in Southern Utah gave me the opportunity to reconnect with the outdoors and enjoy adventures like hiking, camping, and jet skiing at Lake Powell. In 2020, I welcomed my son into the world, and becoming a mother completely changed my perspective on life. I spent several years as a stay-at-home mom before joining Utah Tech University in 2021 as an Administrative Assistant.
Life has truly come full circle, and I’m incredibly proud of the path that brought me here. I’m grateful to be part of the team in the Chemistry & Biochemistry and Earth & Environmental Sciences departments and look forward to continuing to support our students, faculty, and programs.
