I attended Utah Tech (Dixie State College) from 2008 to 2012 and worked in the Ticket Office, on campus, as a crew supervisor throughout my academic career. After I graduated, with my B.S in Communications, I set out on an adventure to Austin, TX. I learned many trades while I was there including working for a Municipal Court as a Deputy Court Clerk, then I became a 911 dispatcher for the AISD school system, and following that I became a patient transport operator for a workers compensation clinic.
While I was in Austin I took on boxing as an exercise program and have enjoyed it ever since. I moved to another part of Texas to work as a data entry clerk at the Clinic’s of North Texas for their cardiology department, I worked very long exhausting hours in the clinic which gave me no time for any social life outside of work. One day my good friend in St George, UT recommended I come work with her at Rescue Alert, another dispatching job. I agreed.
Back at home again, and working less, I had time to go on adventures like hiking, camping, and jet skiing in Lake Powell. In 2020 I welcomed a baby boy into the world and he became my whole life. I was a stay-at-home mom until I came on board with Utah Tech as an Administrative Assistant in 2021.
Life has come full circle and I’m very proud of my journey. I am so happy to be a part of the team here in the Science department!
