I grew up in Tooele, Utah and am the youngest of 8. I
graduated from BYU with a chemistry education degree and
then taught chemistry for a few years at Olympus High School
in Salt Lake City. I returned to BYU for graduate school and
received my PhD in inorganic chemistry in 2013. My research
was so the nanoparticle formation and ferromagnetic metal
doping of those particles. While at BYU, I was also a member
of their Ballroom Dance Company and toured throughout the
US, Europe, Asia, and the South Pacific as well as winning a
number of national championships. I have most recently taught
general chemistry for Indiana State University in Terre Haute,
Indiana completing two years of online teaching. I enjoy the
outdoors and also a good movie or book.
