BIOGRAPHY
Jared grew up in Tooele, Utah, as the youngest of eight. After graduating from Tooele High School, he served a mission in Brazil before attending Brigham Young University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry education and a doctorate in inorganic chemistry. His interests include teaching, nanomaterials, and magnetic doping. Jared has been a faculty member at Utah Tech since 2022. Outside of chemistry, he is a champion ballroom dancer and enjoys performing with the St. George Chamber Singers and occasionally with St. George Musical Theater.
PREVIOUS TEACHING
Served as an adjunct faculty member at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. He was also a visiting faculty member at Brigham Young University–Idaho and most recently taught general chemistry as an instructor at Indiana State University.
